Manaswin Sridhar, better known as Manu, has been with SSA on and off over the past 4 years and a member of GMIS for 3 years. Manu joined SSA with very few soccer skills; however, after making speedy progress, was soon a member of GMIS team.

Over this period of time, we have come to know Manu as an easy going guy with extraordinary patience. No matter what is thrown at him, he takes it all in his stride. Comfortable in his own skin, he is not too concerned about peer pressure, and simply smiles after being on the other end of his friends’ pranks.
A fond if not worrisome memory of Manu was quite recent; during our Barcelona trip, everyone one had gathered in a room for the daily briefing. It was at this time Manu’s absence was detected; we couldn’t find him anywhere. After banging on his hotel room door, Manu did not answer. The entire group looked around the hotel to no avail; by now we were quite worried as we always warned the boys to go nowhere alone. Without choice, we requested the skeleton key from hotel management. Nervously, we slowly crept into the darkened room with the whole group on tow; there he was, sound asleep in bed without a care in the world. Of course Vidit leapt at the opportunity to be the one to shake him awake, to the hilarious laughter of us all. How did Manaswin react? Yup, he just smiled wondering what all the commotion was about !!

We are proud of the development Manu has made, especially when he headed the ball from mid-field to score a glorious goal, during GMIS Cup.

Despite Manu’s progress on the field, he has decided to hang up his boots for a while to continue his studies at Singapore Institute of Management in accounting and finance. After 3 years he hopes to continue his studies in America, to later become a chartered accountant.
We wish you luck Manu,
don't ever change from that fun loving easy going guy that you are.
