Sam’s Soccer Academy (SSA) returned to the home of injured Agung, as promised, with a group of happy, smiling children hot on their trail; curious to know why the foreigners were in their neighbourhood and more than happy to pose for the camera.
'Say cheeeeeese children!'
Agung looked better although his hand still looked unnaturally swollen. His father informed us the bandage was on very tight in order the bone straightens out for a clean rejoining of the broken bone; this in fact was the cause for such swelling. All were hopeful he could return to school to participate in exams the following Monday. We wish you luck Agung.
SSA would like to thank the parents of FJ, Rayton, Nicholas Aaron Omar, Pranav, Ryan and Jay Kumar as well as Fredy Wen, of Murni Auto Cars, for their donations towards Agung’s speedy recovery; Agung broke his arm, while playing futsal with a group of friends, several weeks ago. A total of RP.2, 900.000 was raised over a period of one week. SSA feels proud when people rally round and show their support in times like these.
As Agung achieved overall highest goal scorer over a period of 3 - 4 months (excluding tournament goals) he was awarded with a brand new pair of soccer boots, made as a gesture of appreciation by SSA. The boots fit like a glove and hopefully we'll be seeing him around soon, sporting his new footwear.
SSA will pay Agung another visit before their departure to Barcelona, Spain for the Copa Cataluna International Football Tournament.
